Two underused rooms turned into a proper home office and a cinema room built for film nights.
This project was about transforming previously underused and cluttered spaces into beautifully considered rooms that work for both everyday life and entertainment. The before-and-after images show a dramatic change, with the original study and cinema room being redesigned to introduce practical storage, dedicated workspace and a more inviting atmosphere.

Callerton's Balham 70 range brings a timeless Shaker aesthetic to the study, with its flat-painted MDF doors and distinctive 70mm frame. The soft Cashmere finish gives the room a calm, sophisticated feel while providing a cohesive backdrop for the extensive storage.
The study has been completely transformed from an informal, cluttered space into a dedicated home office. A generous fitted desk provides a practical workspace, while surrounding cabinetry combines open shelving for books and display with closed storage for a cleaner, more organised finish.
The 40mm Natural Vintage Oak Effect worktops add warmth and character to the study. Used across the generous desk area, the oak effect creates a beautiful contrast against the painted cabinetry and gives the room a substantial, furniture-like feel.
The extensive fitted storage makes much better use of the room, replacing a collection of freestanding furniture with a cohesive, purpose-designed solution. Open shelving provides space for an impressive book collection, while cupboards and glazed sections allow treasured items to be displayed without compromising on organisation.
The cinema room has also been given a complete transformation. What was previously an open, multifunctional space with limited organisation has become a dedicated entertainment room with a strong sense of atmosphere.
Fitted cabinetry provides valuable storage around the room while keeping the overall design clean and cohesive. The combination of open shelving and closed cupboards allows books, games and personal belongings to be organised while maintaining the room's relaxed character.
The finished cinema room is centred around comfort and atmosphere, with carefully integrated cabinetry complementing the television and entertainment setup. The dramatic lighting allows the room to change mood, creating an immersive environment for movie nights and entertaining.
The transformation demonstrates how bespoke cabinetry can completely change the way a room is used. Rather than simply adding storage, the design gives the cinema room a clear purpose while ensuring it remains practical, comfortable and visually considered.
